ADULT AWARENESS SESSION #2871 VIRTUS is the brand name that identifies best practices programs designed to help prevent wrongdoing and promote "rightdoing" within religious organizations. The VIRTUS programs empower organizations and people to better control risk and improve the lives of all those who interact with the Church. The dignity and needs of children and youth as well as those who are aging and infirm are the concern of all. In response to the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People — Our Community Caring for Life — will once again be hosting an Adult Awareness Session here at our Church of Saint Patrick downstairs in the Church Hall. This free session is for all adults who are interested, and required for all volunteers and staff who have regular, ongoing, and perhaps unsupervised contact with children and youth or vulnerable adults. Archdiocesan guidelines stipulate that even individuals serving as occasional chaperones, drivers, etc. take part. Pre-registration is required and since this initiative is being coordinated at the diocesan level, we need everyone to please register through the parish office by calling Tom or Edith at 651 774-8675. | 8 | 9 | 10 | 11 |

Make plans to join us once again this year for our Annual Parish Picnic to be held at the main pavilion out at Phalen Park on Monday evening, August the 13th beginning at 5:30. All parishioners, neighbors, families and friends are invited. Hotdogs, brats and beverages will be provided. Please bring a side dish (salad, fruit, dessert) to share. BLOOD DRIVE

The fourth Tuesday of every month, Saint Patrick’s acts as the host site for Memorial Blood Centers Regularly Scheduled Mobil Operation (RSMO). An RSMO is Memorial’s effort to reach out to our community on a broader scale and a more regular basis in hopes of receiving a greater response. Memorial Blood Center Staff will be on hand here down stairs in the Church Hall from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. again this Tuesday to collect blood donations. Donors can call the parish office or sign-up online at www.mbc.org/searchdrives Sponsor Code: 9680. Donors are asked to provide your name, month and day of birth and phone number. Donors must be at least 16 years of age (with parental permission) weighing 120 pounds or more, in good health, and present a photo ID. It only take a few minutes to save a life!
